Pope’s interdisciplinary work explores the notion of ecstatic quietude and wonder as found in Nature during the present Age of the Anthropocene and the evolution into the Posthuman.  She earned a BA in Studio Art from Berry College, MA in Art History from the University of Kentucky, and MFA in Studio Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she received the Daniel Vandegrift Scholarship.  She has shown her artwork nationally and internationally including venues such as the Mint Museum Uptown, North Carolina Botanical Garden, Zhou B Art Center, Carrie Secrist Gallery, and the Ionion Center for Arts and Culture, Kefalonia Island, Greece.   In 2021, she was awarded the Artist Support Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council for her environmental time-lapse film, The Meadow Project. She is currently Associate Art Professor and Visual Art Program Coordinator at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
